Vision Productions takes you to the Mid South to view the Kansas City Southern and the Katy in the 1980’s.From the 8-millimeter films of Fred Crissey, we start with the KCS.From the years 1987 and 1988, Fred captures this class one in the states of Kansas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Texas and Louisiana.Many trains are seen traversing scenic Rich Hill with locomotives wearing their white paint scheme.Burlington Northern locomotives show up frequently assisting on coal trains.
Then it is back to Kansas and Oklahoma to see the last of the Missouri, Kansas, Texas.
Also known as the Katy.Wearing its attractive green and yellow paint, you will see many Katy trains along with run through power including Union Pacific, Milwaukee Road and Soo Line locomotives.Fred captures the Katy from the years 1983 to 1988, just before Union Pacific took control.We even see a train from short line Kiamichi Railroad.
